Open Meal plans. Each column is a day and each row is a meal type. The header shows how many meals are planned this week, and the arrows move between weeks.

Add a meal

  1. Select an empty slot (the +).

  2. Pick from Suggested recipes, search with Search all recipes..., or choose Browse all recipes.

  3. For something that isn't a recipe, like "Takeout" or "Leftovers", type it under Quick add a custom meal and choose Add. Tick Save to quick meals to reuse it later.

Move or swap meals

Drag a meal to another slot to move it. Drop it on top of another meal to swap the two.

Fill many slots at once

Choose Select multiple under the week, tap the slots you want, then pick a quick meal, a recipe, or a custom name for all of them. Tick Replace existing to overwrite meals already there.

Each meal's options

  • Mark as cooked records it in the recipe's history.

  • Edit meal name renames a custom meal.

  • Mark as no meal planned for nights you're out.

  • Plan leftovers puts the same dish on a later day. See below.

  • Remove from meal plan.

Household members can react with Excited, Meh or I'll cook, and leave Loved it or Not great afterwards.

Plan leftovers

Choose Plan leftovers on a meal, pick When to eat it again, and tick Cook a double batch if you need more food. Leftover meals don't add anything to the grocery list. A double batch adds one extra batch of the ingredients.

Nutrition for the week

The Daily total row under the week adds up each day's calories, protein, carbs and fat per person. Nutrition this week below the grid has the weekly average and each day, compared with your daily goals if you set them. See Daily calories and macros on your meal plan.

Meal prep

To cook one batch that feeds several meals, select the slots with Select multiple and choose Meal prep. The snowflake button at the top opens what's in your fridge and freezer. See Meal prep: cook once, eat all week.
